Each year, HSBC, ACE Group, and Deloitte partner to deliver the SIP experience. Following the close of the application period, the selection committee interviews suitable candidates. Twelve Bermudian college/university students are offered a position on the SIP. This programme consists of three very different work experiences within 10 weeks, focusing on team work, leadership and both personal and professional development. Interns spend a week in orientation, learning valuable teamwork and presenting skills. Then they rotate through the three partner companies in two separate groups, working on projects assigned by each company. They gain experience and knowledge in the fields of Insurance/Reinsurance, Financial Services, and Accounting, Assurance and Tax services. Interns are also given the opportunity to work on a community project, allowing them to give back to the Bermudian community while also gaining valuable experience.
