When you're ready to apply for a mortgage or a home loan you will need to present the following documents:
- Letter or pay statement from your employer confirming your salary
- If self-employed/ business owner - copy of your latest financial statement and/or a copy of your latest payroll tax form and/or a letter from an accountant
- Valid photo identification (passport, Bermuda drivers license)
- Copy of rental agreement if rental income is being received
- Copy of home insurance policy
- Please consult your lawyer to ensure that you are compliant with the Bermuda Immigration and Protection Amendment Act 2007.
If you are applying for a construction loan you will need to present the following documents:
- Copy of approved plans
- Three quotes from reputable contractors
- Cost estimate/quantity survey if amount is over BM$100,000
