What former graduates say about the program…

Jerusa Garner Simmons

GDP: 2019 to 2021

"I was attracted to the Graduate Development Programme through hearing about experiences from previous graduates, plus the opportunities to network and learn about the daily operations of working within HSBC.

I think the GDP allowed me to gain internal exposure and connections within HSBC Bermuda. Through networking I have also gained exposure in other HSBC regions. I would recommend the programme because it provides opportunities to learn about other functions and lines of business within the Bank."

Christina Rodrigues

GDP: 2019 to 2021

"After graduating from University, I was not truly sure of where I saw myself going in my career. I heard a previous graduate on the radio talking about the HSBC Bermuda Graduate Development Programme and after that I decided to look at the job ad. I was very interested in the core skills the programme helps you to develop and opportunities to learn about the financial services industry.

Being able to rotate within different departments showed me what I was good at, what areas I needed development in, what I liked, and also what I didn’t like as much. Having the opportunity of moving around the business helped me realize where I wanted to go within my career."
