Digital Secure Key - a new way to log on to online banking
The Digital Secure Key is replacing the Physical Security Device, changing the way that you access online banking. With the Digital Secure Key, you can generate a security code through the HSBC Bermuda Mobile Banking app, allowing you to safely log on to online banking, without needing your Physical Security Device. You'll still need to use your normal username and passwords to initially access mobile and online banking.

How does a Digital Secure Key work?
The Digital Secure Key generates a temporary code which you then use to access online banking and as an extra level of security for certain actions performed through online. We recommend using a Digital Secure Key as it is available on most models of phones, but if your device is not compatible you can use a Physical Secure Key.
To generate the code, you need a PIN or password known only by you - or you can use biometrics if your device has these features. The Digital Secure Key means only you can access your accounts.
