Eligibility Criteria for Promotional Reward

A new HSBC Premier customer is defined as a non-existing HSBC Wealth and Personal Banking customer who completes all of the following between 1 June 2021 - 31 August 2021 ('the Promotion Period'):

1. Establishes a new relationship with HSBC by:

  • opening an HSBC Premier account with fresh funds of at least BMD$200,000 (or foreign currency equivalent) in deposits or Investments. For purposes of this promotion, funds transferred and/or coming from another HSBC Bermuda account will not be considered "fresh funds". Funds must remain with HSBC Bermuda for six months or
  • obtain a new mortgage of $1Mil or more. The Mortgage must remain in good standing for six months

2. Completes a full financial planning meeting with their Premier Relationship Manager within six months of establishing a relationship with HSBC Premier (see point 1).

Reward

Every successful new customer who joins HSBC Premier will receive a $1,000 electronic gift certificate for the St. Regis Bermuda Resort, 34 Coot Pond Rd, St. George’s GE05 Bermuda. The electronic gift card will be emailed to the address on record.

General Terms & Conditions

  1. The HSBC Premier New Customer Promotion ('the Promotion') is open to all new customers to HSBC Bank Bermuda Limited, aged 18 years or over, residing in Bermuda, who switch to HSBC Premier from our local competitors or join HSBC Premier as a new customer between 1 June 2021 - 31 August 2021 ('the Promotion Period').
  2. Customers who previously banked with HSBC and closed all accounts and now wish to reestablish a relationship are eligible for the promotion. 
  3. The Promotion does not apply to existing HSBC Bermuda Wealth and Personal Banking Customers who upgrade to Premier or reactivate existing accounts. 
  4. For new HSBC Premier joint account or mortgage where any one of the customers is an existing HSBC customer, the joint account must consist of one non-existing HSBC Wealth and Personal Banking customer. The account must be funded with fresh funds or obtain a new mortgage. One reward will be issued.
  5. For new HSBC Premier joint accounts or mortgages where both customers were non-existing HSBC Wealth and Personal Banking customers one reward will be issued.
  6. The reward will be issued within 30 days after point one and two under Eligibility Criteria have been completed, whichever is longer.
  7. HSBC Bank Bermuda Limited reserves the right to deduct the equivalent amount of the reward from the customer’s accounts in the event that they terminate his/her HSBC Premier relationship within six months from the date the account is opened.
  8. HSBC Bank Bermuda Limited reserves the right to reject any application for an HSBC Premier account and is not obliged to give reasons for such rejections.
  9. In the event of a dispute arising out of this promotion, the decision of HSBC Bank Bermuda Limited shall be final.
  10. The customer’s accounts must be in good standing and conducted in a proper and satisfactory manner as determined by HSBC in its sole discretion over the promotion period and the time of fulfillment in order to be eligible for the reward.
  11. HSBC Bank Bermuda Limited staff, retirees and immediate family are NOT eligible to participate in this Promotion. For the avoidance of doubt, immediate family members are defined as parents, siblings, spouses and/or children and any other family members living in the same residence.
  12. This Promotion cannot be combined with any other special promotion.
  13. HSBC Bank Bermuda Limited reserves the right to amend, discontinue or extend this Promotion at any time, without notice.
  14. By accepting the reward, the recipient agrees to participate in HSBC promotional activity which could include but not limited to a celebratory photograph and their name being used in marketing and/or public relations activity.
